The Green Bus by Dublin Coach is one of the largest privately owned public transport providers in Ireland. Since launching in 2007, our priority has been getting you to your destination of choice in both comfort and style. Our fleet of luxury high end coaches are easily recognised by their distinctive green colour.

More recently The Green Bus by Dublin Coach has entered an exciting period of continued growth, development & expansion following a recent acquisition by Callinan Coaches. As a result we are actively recruiting for new members to join our team and play their part in helping The Green Bus reach new levels of success.

Currently we are recruiting for Coach & Bus Drivers to join our team.

Positions available nationwide at our depots in:

• Cork
• Dublin
• Dublin Airport
• Ennis
• Kildare
• Limerick
• Waterford

Responsibilities:

• Provide transportation services throughout Ireland to all our customers.
• Provide exceptional levels of customer service to all our customers.
• Ensure all company vehicles are driven in a safe and professional manner.
• Ensure company standards are consistently met and upheld at all times.
• To drive in adherence with a set timetable.
• Use our ticket machine and issue tickets to customers.
• Report any damage/accidents to Duty Managers as soon as possible.
• Additional duties/tasks may be assigned as required.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Possess a strong level of English – both spoken and written.
• Be comfortable working as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Be comfortable working in a busy team environment.

Licence/Certification:

• D Driving Licence – Required
• Valid CPC Card – Required
• Tachograph Card – Required

 

Experience:

• Previous driving experience – Preferred

Skills:

• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Location: Nationwide

Shift: 10 Hours

Cleaner Responsibilities:

• Efficiently completing all cleaning tasks related to our buses and premises.
• Ensuring all cleaning standards are consistently met and upheld.
• Ensuring all buses are cleaned thoroughly both inside and out.
• Ensuring our premises are cleaned thoroughly with the primary focus being the bathrooms, canteen and garage floor.
• Reporting any damage to the buses or premises to the Duty Manager.
• Additional cleaning duties/tasks may be assigned as required.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Possess a good level of English – both spoken and written.
• Be comfortable working as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Be comfortable working in a busy team environment.

Cleaner Qualifications / Skills:

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Location: Dublin and Ennis

Night shift: 05:00pm to 05:00am (4 night on – 4 night off)

Please note this is a night time position so applicants must be comfortable working night shifts.

Currently we are recruiting for an Automotive Electrician to join our team and work on our constantly updated fleet of coaches that include Mercedes, Scania, Setra, Vanhool and Volvo.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of our fleet of over 100 vehicles.
• Ensuring all vehicles remain fit for purpose and in optimal running condition.
• Completing day to day running repairs.
• Completing monthly inspections.
• Preparing our vehicles for CVRT testing.
• Diagnosing faults and malfunctions.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• A HGV Mechanic qualification
• HGV experience. Bus & Coach experience would be preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• A HGV License, Bus License preferred.
• A high level of technical knowledge.
• Good communication skills, and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Experience working with:
• Diagnostic systems
• Gear boxes
• ABS systems
• Air Conditioning systems,
• Electric installations
• Door systems

Experience:

• Electrician: 1 year – Preferred

Licence/Certification:

• Suitable qualifications – Required

 

Location: Dublin 12

Shift: 10 Hours – Weekend work available but not required

Job Title: Duty Manager

Job Description:
Position Overview: The Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and reliable service delivery. This hands-on role requires a highly visible presence and direct engagement with Management, drivers, staff, and customers. The ideal candidate will be an organized and energetic leader who excels in problem-solving and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:
1. Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery and adherence to schedules.
2. Monitor and manage vehicle dispatch, route optimization, and on-time performance.
3. Communicate effectively with management team
4. Coordinate with operations Manager to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.

Driver Support:
1. Maintain regular communication with drivers, providing support and addressing any issues that arise.
2. Ensure drivers are informed of any operational changes or updates.

Customer Service:

1: Ensure all customer interactions are handled professionally and courteously.

 

Safety and Compliance:

1. Ensure all operations comply with relevant safety regulations and company policies.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
3. Promote a culture of safety and accountability among all staff members.

Team Leadership:
1. Supervise and support frontline staff, including drivers and customer service representatives.
2. Provide feedback on drivers and cleaners performance and behavior’s

Crisis Management:
1. Respond to operational emergencies and incidents, providing leadership and coordination to resolve issues in liaison with the operations manager
2. Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.

Reports:
1. End of shift report
2. Walk around reports – Truckfile
3. Update live roster for payroll purposes

Qualifications:
 Proven experience in a supervisory role within the transport or logistics industry.
 Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development.
 Excellent communication and organizational skills.
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
 Valid category ‘D’ license, CPC, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
